My Top 10 Movies of all time……so far
My friend Calmixx is a movie buff just like me, so he and I speak about alot of movies and we definitely don’t agree on some. So to entice him. Here are my Top 10 Movies of all time….so far:
10. Scarface – Who doesn’t love Tony Montana. This movie was farfetched and ridiculous at some points (Al Pacino’s accent), but all around good fun
9. Born on the 4th of July – Tom Cruise rocks!!! I don’t care that he loves scientology
8. Casino – DeNiro and Pesci, enough said
7. 300 – Excellent action movie, great visuals, great fight scenes
6. Gladiator – Russell Crowe kicked ass in this one
5. Goodfellas – DeNiro and Pesci, you got a problem with that
4. Braveheart – A brilliant period piece…..Mel Gibson was awesome….made me want to paint my face blue
3. CastAway – Tom Hanks was brilliant in this one…how can a person act as good as he did with a volleyball
2. Forrest Gump – Another Tom Hanks masterpiece. This movie was unbelievable, if you disagree, you have no soul
1. The Departed – Scorcese and DiCaprio, enough said. This was the modern day Goodfellas, but BETTER!!
So there it is, my top 10 movies of all time…so far. I would also like to make an honorable mention to the following movies:
* A few Good Men – Tom Cruise…done!
* Gone Baby Gone – Yes, it was that good and Ben Affleck was associated to it
Ok Calmixx…..I’m ready. Until next time…keep it clean

Finally you have written something that is near and dear to my heart. I LOVE movies. Well, good ones anyway….
Here is my comments on your list of top 10 movies:
10 – Scarface – I don’t like this movie. I really don’t. For that matter any gangster/mafia movie. So, add me to the list of people who DO NOT like scarface.
9 – Born on the 4th of July – Decent movie but not worth a top 10 nod.
8 – Casino – See number 10’s comment. This movie was BORING!! I remember when it came out on VHS it was 2 tapes. 2 FREAKING TAPES!!! I remember renting 1 week when I was having problems falling asleep at night. Zzzzzz
7 – 300 – Good movie. Not as good as people make it out to be.
6 – Gladiator – Another good movie – Again, not as good as people make it out to be.
5 – Goodfellas – Ok, this movie goes against my not liking gangster/mafia movie rules. I really enjoyed this movie and I always seem to watch it all the way through when I catch it playing on tv. So, here is your first good choice KrazyIvan. Too bad it took you 5 movies to get to it.
4 – Braveheart – Brilliant movie and brilliant story. How could you not like this movie?
3 – Castaway – was this some type of typo??? You really didn’t just name a movie when the whole plot of it is a man stuck on an island talking to a volleyball…..did u? No story, no drama, no suspense, no special effects, NO REASON TO WATCH THIS MOVIE. And you made this number 3…….
2 – Forrest Gump – definitely a great movie. So great that me and my friends so this movie 3 times in the theatres, 3 weekends in a row.
1 – Departed – This cannot be the end of the list…..Please tell me you are joking around with this entire “list” thing and these aren’t your favorite movies of ALL TIME??
The worst part is the 2 movies that you listed as honorable mention both are horrible movies as well. A court room drama and a missing child movie???
The one thing I can say about you KrazyIvan is that you are consistent with the types of movies that you are drawn to, kind of like fruit flies are drawn to rotting fruit, Every movie in your list except the 2 Tom Hanks movies has over the top killing. Do you have anger issues that you need to work on?? Why do you like to see blood shed so much?
You do realize that film makers put in the over the top killing scenes into movies to distract you from the real problems of the movie?? Which is the movie sucks with no story and if they distract you long enough then you won’t realize that you are watching total crap. Especially in the departed. The entire movie DRAGGED!! DRAGGED I tell you. Just because the last 10-15 minutes of the movie had a incredible shootout that left just about all main characters dead doesn’t mean that it was a good movie. Watch the movie again and this time shut it off right before the final shootout. Now give me a review of the movie. Hmmm???
I know its just your opinion and these are the movies that “you” like and I shouldn’t get all riled up. But I expected better from you. I really did.

Matt…..That’s why I called the post “My top 10 movies of all time…..so far”, because they are my picks, not yours Matt (aka Siskel & Ebert).
I very rarely get a chance to watch movies these days with 2 young kids….it’s hard. SO when I can watch a movie, I enjoy it for what it is…..I never really go into a movie expecting alot because it’s not that big a deal to me. I just enjoy movies in general.
By the way…Where’s your blog and your top 10 list???

I don’t have a blog because I feel no one really wants to hear my opinion on things. So, that means I have to go to other peoples blogs and make comments. And I am not a Blog hater…..I really love reading other people’s ideas. I like to challenge people’s comments….that’s all. Sometimes people have good comments and I will let them know. And other times people say the stupidest things and of course I have to call them out on it. Don’t consider me a blog hater, more like the blog police. lol Don’t take everything so personal. I am just kidding around with you. You can’t expect everything in life to be like butterflies and apple pie now can we?? If I didn’t care about you or your comments I wouldn’t even take time out of my day to read them or even comment on them.
And for the record……Castaway was really a BAD movie. lol

Challenge Answered I say !

Hey Matt – I would be interested in your opinion on things and I would definately read a blog by you – your knowledge about gaming and manga alone would be worth checking out . . . If you don’t want to do your own blog, consider this an invite to contribute on mine. You can be like Stephen Colbert to my John Stewart. Although neither of us are remotely as funny as them. I have to go talk to my Volley ball now. Lata.
